My very energetic, smart kitten is going to have to spend a lot of time in a small room by himself for a while and I'm looking for ways to keep him occupied. One thing that was recommended to me was puzzle feeders. Does anyone have one they like? Especially tricky ones, he figures puzzles out pretty fast.

I make Farrell's puzzle toys from DIY sites on the internet.

Her favorite is treats inside a drinking water bottle with 3-4 holes cut slightly larger than the treats. The fewer holes the more difficult the toy.

I also made her one of these, but cut holes in the sides in addition to the lid. It was a hit until Miss Smarty Pants figured out how to take the entire lid off the tub...in under 5 minutes. (So it's fun for a while, but I considered it "a fail".)

I suppose that I could be smarter than the cat (for once) and tape the lid closed. Maybe I'll try it again. She does like it when I put it back together and load it with ping pong balls, jingle balls, crinkle balls and fuzzy mice.
