Hello -
I took my cat to the Vet today to get her butt shaved - she had a really bad case of "flaming asshole syndrome" as my Vet called it. They put her under for about 5 minutes using a Sevoflurane mask so they could shave and clean the area. She woke up and was really quiet on her way home. Once I got her inside the house, she refused to come out of her carrier and continues to growl, hiss, make really weird noises when I look at her or walk by the carrier.
Does anyone know how long this will go on? I checked some websites and it said behavioral changes are rare and should go away within a few days. I am really worried about her because she has never done this before in her 4 years of life. I called the vet and she mentioned that the drugs are probably still wearing off.
Any ideas or comforting thoughts will help! Thanks!
