Hey is my cat licking to the point of baldness around her tail. She gets spooked by her tail and then tries to bite it. Very unsettled.

Hello and welcome to TCS. Sorry though for the reason that brought you here. How old is your cat? Is this new behaviour? Have you consulted with a vet? It could be something like a food allergy. Or stress.

Could be hyperesthesia which one of my cats has. It is more than likely mentioned in one of the articles but if not, google it.
