I took in Orange Kitty and prior to surgery kept him in the bathroom until he got neutered.  He has taken quite a liking to sleeping in the bathtub.  I have the door open but he has shown no desire to leave the tub.  I am hoping it is just a recovery issue from his surgery.

Cats are creatures of habit. He claimed the bathtub as his, and sees no reason to stop using it. :) Congratulations on his neuter!

What is really interesting is he has shown NO signs of aggression to the other kitties.  I figured him being a huge tom cat he would fight for #1 ranking.  He sits in the kitchen and the other kitties sniff him and he does nothing.  He is the kitten's father.  I wonder if he knows that and that is why he is not aggressive.

I think most of my kitties have enjoyed sleeping in the tub at one point or another.  Usually more in summer though.  He sounds like a sweet guy!  Maybe "laid back" is just his personality.
