My vet advises that my cat has a bath once a mth.
Reason she is allergic to quite a lot of stuff, food and environment etc.
She is allergic to staph which sits pretty high on her allergic scores.
I read short hair cats do not require baths and cats are good groomers.
So should I still proceed for a bath?
Mine is a bengal and I send her for a bath once in a mth to a local groomer.

Staph is an infection brought on by various conditions, not an actual allergen. A staph infection can result from various allergens, though. I personally do not see how a bath is going to resolve anything for your cat. It is a short term - and maybe totally ineffective - answer to a problem that need to be addressed longer-term.

Here are some articles relating to staph infections and what can bring them on.

I also included your last thread, which I presume to be about this same cat, just in case it helps any of our members with giving you some help.

She does not have staph infection now. The bath was advised by vet as precautionary as she may get staph from the environment, people etc
