Urinalysis, Senior Pet Blood profile and full checkup. I'll have the results tomorrow, but thus far:
Second likeliest scenario: diabetes, also treatable.
In the Vet's opinion, if Sasha's kidneys were impaired or if he had an infection., he would have been in a lot of pain and his dehydration would have been a lot worse; but the blood and urine analysis will let us know for sure.
I fed both Sasha and Tiggy an tablespoonful of Performatrin Ultra Salmon bisque, which they both polished off!
- Vet was impressed by Sasha's great condition for an 18 year-old cat
- Teeth and gums surprisingly healthy for an 18 year-old cat
- Heart's fine, no murmur and great heart rate
- No jaundice - liver's fine
- I'll know more about the kidneys once the test results come back, however the Vet was a bit concerned that Sasha was a bit dehydrated and his eyes looked a bit sunken.
