Well, it's August, and that means time to celebrate my kitties.
Penny's birthday is August 26th, and she'll be 2.
Ginger's 2nd Gotcha Day is the 19th, we think she turned two in mid-June, and Ferris' first Gotcha Day will be the 31st. We think his birthday is the end of May. Because Ginger and Ferris were both rescues (Ginger from the shelter and Ferris was born feral) I don't have exact birthdays for them.
I'm thinking - maybe we should just celebrate for the whole month. Or what's left of it, anyway!
I can't believe that Ferris has already been with me for a whole year. When I look back on my first posts after adopting him (dated in Sept/Oct of 2006) it amazes me how much he's grown, not just in body but in spirit. He's a VERY brave little guy, with such a big need for love. I'm so lucky to have him in my life.
And my Ginger kitty - she'll always be my most favorite, my most special little girl. I love her so much I don't even have words for it. I find myself calling her by my daughter's name just a little bit too often.
But don't worry - I called my 23 year old daughter "my little babygirl" last weekend, then once it was out of my mouth, I realized it was the endearment I use for Gingerkitty. So we're even, LOL!
Penny has only been with me since the end of May, so we are celebrating three months of being together as a family with Penny, but she has blended in so well that I forget what it was like before she was around. I've just today sent out the paperwork to transfer her TICA registration to me. It's official.
Happy Birthday and Gotcha Days, my beautiful furchildren! Meowmy loves you all!!!
