Are Tabicos mainly female?

I know that almost all calico cats are female. Does the same hold true for what is called a tabico? Also, is a tabico the same as a caliby?

They're the same. Maybe people couldn't decide whether to put the tabby bit or the calico bit first. :)
I'm pretty sure that, because they carry the calico gene, the predominance of females still applies.

Agree. But observe, some tabbies have a quite warm brown tone, it looks almost reddish. They can also have ruficism? - which too looks reddish.
But they DONT carry the red gene.

Ie, it happens brown tabby cats are believed to be also red; ie being torbies or tabicos.
