I have a 5 month ragdoll kitten and whenever I hold him, I can feel that he's incredibly warm. I usually put one hand between his legs on his belly and the other arm supporting his front, and my hands get super warm super fast. However I've held my friend's siberians, one which is the same age as mine and they both feel a lot cooler - my hands don't heat up as fast or as much. The breeder I got him from says that he likes glass coffee tables or cold surfaces and that getting a heated cozy cat bed was pointless. He's healthy, not feverish, went to the vet and everything. So I was wondering if there are certain cats that are just warmer than others without it being a health problem? I think it might also explain why he's not a lap cat - I get uncomfortably warm just holding him, imagine how he feels being on my warm lap with his whole body!
I should also add that he's never liked soft warm surfaces (bed, couch, blankets, anything), is always either on our coffee table or the ceramic floor, and hardly ever stays long in the 'catloaf' position.
