are some bone types better than others?

personally, i found pork bone softer and easier to ground down with chopper knife than chicken bone.

any problem sticking with just pig bone/softer bone?

Bones from which parts of the pig? And are you talking about grinding them in a grinder or chopiing them with a knife to serve frankenprey style?

I don't know if bones from one animal have more nutrition than bones from another animal.
I do know that it's not so much the size as the density of the bone. For example, I once gave Ritz a small piece of bone from goat and she couldn't eat it, it was too hard. She can easily eat bone from quail and rabbit. I feed about 7% bone (a little less than two ounces a week), and freeze the excess bone.
