In Europe, the Applaws Pate food is a complete diet: http://www.applaws.co.uk/cat_pates.php It looks like it is the only line that is a complete diet besides the dry food. Everything else (pots, tins, jelly, etc) are complementary  / supplement only. So you're ok feeding the Applaws pate to your cats

In the US, Applaws is only a complementary / supplement food.

Yeah I also heard that Applaws Pate in Europe is a complete diet. I'm really confused though since on the Applaws tin, it says it's only supplementary :(? But then the offical website says it's complete?

The tins are complementary / supplement only: Applaws Cat Tins - This Applaws wet food is a complementary pet food for adult cats ." http://www.applaws.co.uk/cat_tins.php If the can says complementary and there are no vitamins or minerals listed, feed it only as a treat or with dry food.

I know those tins are supplementary (the shredded version), but I'm talking about the Applaws Pate. This one:

http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/cats/canned_cat_food_pouches/applaws/applaws_cat_pates/353348

They also come in little tins, but they are Pate. I'm really confused since Zooplus use to say it's complete and the Applaws website says it is. But one the box it says it's supplementary and so does Zooplus :(?

That is confusing

If the pate you have says complementary and the ingredient list doesn't have any vitamins or minerals, then treat it as a complement food just to be on the safe side. Could you contact ZooPlus to confirm?

There are vitamins listed in the ingredients of the pates on the Applaws website, but I'm still not crazy about their formulations.  I also wonder what the liver substitute is.  I'm used to liver being a necessary ingredient in raw, or vitamin A and other nutrition being added as a substitute.

Yeah it really is confusing :( There are vitamins and minerals in the Pate I have, but I will still treat it as a complementary food to be safe :) I think I will contact Zooplus to ask them about this :p

Yeah I also see vitamins/minerals in mine :) I'm not sure what the liver substitute could be, but it is strange.
