Anyone reading any book "series"?

Just wondering if anyone is into any of the book series that are out there.

My favorite must reads are:
The Alex Delaware series by Jonathan Kellerman
The Alex Cross series by James Patterson
The Stepanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich
The Eve Dallas "In Death" series by JD Robb
The Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen

And of course the vampire series by Anne Rice, but she's not going to be writing any more of those!

I am just now getting into the the Goldie the caterer series by Diane Mott Davidson...only read a few of those so far.

anne rice got a bit pretentious as her books went on imho but i'm reading 'queen of the damned' again and then onto the others.

also the chronicles of narnia are a good series and not forgetting harry potter!

I just finished the latest Alex Delaware and I read all of Faye Kellerman's Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus books, too.

Other series, that I read:

Lilian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who..."
Rita Mae Brown's "Mrs. Murphy" mysteries
Linda Fairstein's Alex Cooper mysteries
J.A. Jance's Joanna Brady and J.P. Beaumont mysteries

I'm currently reading the third book of Eileen Goudge's Carson Springs books "Wish Come True".

Naturally, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and Mayfair Witches series, as well as the Harry Potters.

I love the Iris Johanson books. I'm reading Countdown right now! I also love Anne Rice's books- both the Vampire Chronicals and the Mayfair series. I also love the Kay Scarpetta books by Patricia Cornwell. I'm in the Doubleday Book Club, which is just bad news! Too many good books!!!!

I like some of the ones already mentioned but I really like the Kay Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell and for lighter fare, the Emma Lord series by Mary Daheim. I adore KoKo and Yum Yum of course, lol

Kathy Reichs' Temperance Brennan series is high on my list, as is Virginia Lanier's "Bloodhound" series.

Per one of the series on my list: Linda Fairstein will be at a local mystery bookstore, next Sunday, discussing "Cold Hit". I may just make that scene.

Hammar's Slammers by David Drake
The Falkenberg books by Jerry Pournelle
The Bolo And Retief books by Keith Laumer

And just so many more. I am a Sci Fic junkie especially also Mil fiction.

Steven Booth's series about Ben Cooper (I may stop this series, the last book irritated me to no end)

I tend to find an author I like and then read most of their books. I confess a particular weakness for the historical romances of Amanda Quick and Jane Feather.

i think i've read almost all of patricia cornwell's stuff, both the scarpetta and andy brazil series as well as her non-fiction book about jack the ripper. i've also enjoyed the harry potter books, can't wait til i can get my hands on the new one! i tend to prefer books with a little mystery to them or that make you think, but i'll pretty much read anything i come accross, especially if i don't have to pay for it.

I've read quite a few series of books, the first that comes to mind is of course Harry Potter.

I finally reserved my Harry Potter book last night.

Wow. I love most of the series mentioned. But for those that enjoy Lilian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who series and Rita Mae Browns Mrs. Murphy series might enjoy Shirley Rousseau Murphy Joe Grey series. Like the cats in Bruan and Browns books they solve mysteries but there is a little bit of a fantasy element as they can actually talk human. Very entertaining.

Stormy, I just bought nine of the Goldy the Caterer series off e-bay. I am really enjoying them too.

anyone read any of the "Left Behind" series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B Jenkins? i just finished the first book, which i thought was pretty good and am intrigued to see how everything progresses. however, since the books are a little more expensive than your average paperback i'm looking for some other people's opinions as to whether or not the rest of the series stands up to the hype.

The Monk and Pitt series, both by Anne Perry--I like Monk a bit more
some of James Patterson's Alex Cross novels--one of them really creeped me out
The Cat Who by Lillian Jackson Braun
I also loved The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman, their aimed at teens, but they're very thought provoking and well written.

I LOVE the Harry Potter books (Huge Harry fan! Can you believe Snape?!?!)

I also have been a fan of The cat who since about the 5th grade.
I read a lot of childrens books mostly, looking for new books for my classroom. I like chris van allsburg (he wrote the polar express, jumjai, etc.) Ronald Dhal (Charlie and the chocolate factory, Charlie and the Glass elevator, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, BFG)
Because of Winn-Dixie was also good. Not the most refined reading list, but hey, when you are around kids all the time, it isnt too bad!
