Anyone help with the breed of our beautiful boy 'smudge'??

This is smudge, he's just turned three and is very long for his age, probably about 100cms in just his body. Very fluffy and we call his fluffy tail a foxes tail. He grooms a lot too. He is very dopey but goes a bit wild at night with climbing up doors. He reminds us of a baby at times, as he loves to sleep on your chest. He hates meeting new people as he gets scared and hides. He is quite a jumpy cat and when picked up he goes floppy in your arms. He doesn't meow, instead he chirps. We are unsure what breed he is, as many people often ask what he is and we can't answer lol please came anyone help?

Smudge is soooo cute!!! He looks very much like one of the kitties in our rescue!

I would simply classify him as a domestic longhair or DLH.
