Anyone familiar with this??

Hi,
Does anyone have an idea what this might be? My mil's cat has this patch on her back that looks slightly greasy and has white streaks of hair. Also slightly clumped up. Does not seem to be painful. The cat has only been to the vet for shots and neutering as a kitten(she is now 4) and would be impossible to put in a carrier to take to a vet. I thought about sending a picture to my cats vet but I don't think they would Treat without seeing her cat. Thanks

Hi. Is the cat overweight? Can she reach there to groom?
If you feel the fur, is it matted?

Without seeing it and without having a DVM license, it is impossible to tell. But, I would check for matting and see if that might be the problem. Matt’s do hurt.
