Any weird things your cats like eating?

I was just wondering. My cat Max (who has passed on) used to eat string all the time when we weren't home and he would always throw it up. I have heard of other cats eating chinese food, pickles, and olives and such and I just wanted to ask about your experience with weird foods your cat(s) eat. Thanks.

Foo, the Bottomless Pit (see string about him) will eat the plastic strips you tear off packages, and then puke.  We can't leave anything on the counter that might smell like food, or he will try to eat it.  He LOVES bread, and is constantly on the search for it....we have to keep it in the oven or the microwave.  He would also eat a stick of butter if he could get to it.  He goes into the room with the parrot, and eats anything the parrot throws on the ground (pellets, pasta, vegetables).   If he eats grain products, he gets diarrhea.......but seems to crave them.  As long as he stays on his raw diet, he is fine.

My kitten would eat anything pretty much. As long as I ate it she thought is was ok with it. She would even try to paw it off my fork or plate. Funniest thing.

Amelia only eats cat food but will lick salami. She has also been caught licking pie filling out of a pie.

one of my cats decided bird seed was food i caught her in the bag and it wasn't setting there no longer then 5 mins and my dog joined her -_- both of them the next day trying to poo it out lol

I discovered my cat likes spaghetti after he kept begging while I was eating some and I went to show him, "no silly cat you don't eat spaghetti" and let him sniff a piece. well of course he LOOOVED it. So I filmed him eating a second piece. But don't worry, I do not regularly feed him eating spaghetti.

But he also likes to eat crackers, pita chips, matza, rice, and other carb heavy foods.

He normally gets fed grain-free wet and some raw, so, go figure....

My cat Leo liked to eat plastic bags and of course then throw them back up.  No idea why, but I couldn't leave a bag out for more than a couple minutes before he would go after it.

My other cat scrapper likes to eat paper, he tears off the edge of envelopes and papers I leave lying around.  He also likes to eat avocado, can't turn my back on him for a second when I have one out on the cutting board.

Spaghetti-O's with meatballs! Not too weird, but I can't open the can without her going crazy, jumping on the counter, and once even tried to climb in the microwave after it when I went to heat it up!! If I open Spaghetti-O's with weiners though, she'll sniff at it, and walk away haha. Has to have meatballs. But she's scared of yogurt. I was gonna let her try a little bit off my spoon once, but she went for it too fast and stuck her nose in the cold yogurt. It scared the crap out of her and she ran away from it! Now whenever I eat yogurt in front of her she looks alarmed, it's so weird/hilarious.

Most of my Kitties are pretty "normal" in terms of their eating preferences,

however, Jerry (by far the most picky eater I have ever had) is the one who likes unusual things.

His favorite - an obsession really, is Japanese Shrimp Snacks.

(They are similar to our "Veggie Sticks" but they are made with shrimp.)

Every time we eat them, he becomes a little monster. He will jump on our laps

and will not stop trying to get to the container. We give him a few little tiny pieces of it to get him to calm down.

Jerry also likes broccoli, cauliflower, and scrambled eggs.

He tries to get to our Curry and Tomato based meals, but we don't let him have those of course.

Neko, who is no longer with us after 20 years,

used to love Edamame (steamed Japanese baby soybeans.)

next time you eat spagetti os put it in a yogurt container and do that outside so she don't notice the switch lol

Mogli has been with us a little over three weeks, and we still haven't found anything he won't eat. Things he's stolen off the table include pickles, pickled beets, coleslaw and hot peppers. Jamie used to like the latter, too.

I have to unpack my Walmart or anything like it bags right away when I get home. As I unpack Mia is trying to eat them. This happens so quickly I cant stop her sometimes. I always find it in her BM in the litter box the next day. She has never thrown it up though.

my cat likes fruits. He even goes after those that are dangerous to him, like grapes so we really have to be careful we don't accidentally leave anything out.

Aside from that, he's also stolen some rice from us, along with some veggie. The funny thing is, he never stole any meat, like chicken wings.

Ming Loy will eat pretty much anything if it's moving. She ate a dust bunny the other day. Plastic or rubber of any kind - moving or not - and she'll try to eat it. I have no idea what weird things she would eat - could be just about anything, but we don't offer any of it to her, and she can't jump (she's physically handicapped).

When Billy first came inside, we left some REALLY spicy thai soup with noodles unattended for a few minutes. We came back in to find him eating it. We were SO sure he'd throw up or have diarrhea or something. Nope. after that incident, there was no leaving any food out anywhere at any time. Like HarleyDiva, we have to keep the bread in a cabinet or the microwave.

Some of my Kitties will occasionally snag a cherry tomato, but I guess they don't want to eat them, just play with them.

My cat KK loves to eat plastic bags and puke afterwards. Sister licks plastic. Mac loves bread and milk. He will come to stare whenever I am eating. BB love roasted pork. The normal one is bobo, she only eats cat food.
