My daughter rescued a cat that has a mouth injury we are doctoring. It also has what appears to be orange insects attached on its ears and possibly paws too. I’ve attached a picture to see if anyone has any idea what it could be and how to treat it

If the insect is really attached, it might be a tick. I don't have any experience with them where I am, but others will be able to help you and give advice. If you put "ticks" into search you will find other questions that have been answered.

Hard to tell with the pix, but could definitely be ticks. I would youtube how to get them off, as I have no experience with this either. All I know is that you don't want to leave the head in when you pull them out!

It would be best to take the cat to a vet for treatment of the mouth injury and have the orange things looked at.
