I have two cats, 8 month old Angus, and our new kitten, 10 week old Maggie.
Initially we had a bit of a worrying time introducing them, we wondered if they'd ever get along.all they did was chase and 'fight'...ALL the time.but we realised they were just playing, and sure enough things have begun to calm down.
However, they still play fight a lot, and ive noticed when Angus approaches her in this mode...she turns on her back, and he will position himself over her so that he can lick her bottom!!!
They usually return to playing soon after he's done this, but im wondering if this his him taking on a nurturing role??he dosnt lick her anywhere else from what i can see and dosnt seem interested in playing the 'nurturinig' role in any other way..and so im not quite sure what he's doing this for.
Im really just quite concerned about Angus getting ill from it, although Maggie has been de-wormed etc.
Is this normal behaviour between two cats??
