Duke has in the past eaten a hole the size of his head into the bagh of cat food. just so he can stick his entire head in and eat comfortably.
Preferably metal as I can see him chewing through a plastic one.Originally Posted by lookingglass

I just had this image of 8-Bit with welder goggles and a blowtorch breaking his way into the metal bin!!!!
That is most likely what would happen. My dear Scratch is a bit nervous.Originally Posted by LuckyGirl

Poor Scratch, he probably lives in a constant state of fear with never knowing what kind of trouble 8-Bit will get them into next....Originally Posted by lookingglass

Yyyyyyyyyyup! The bonus is that it's easier to scoop out of a container with a wide opening at the top (and a lid that can be snapped closed and weighted downOriginally Posted by lookingglass

i used to keep mine in a plastic flip-top trash can, like this one. i finally broke down & bought a screw-top food container from petco. i got the 25 pound one. it was pricey, but keeps the food fresh really well - plus the cats can't open it & it's really hard plastic - no chewing thru this one!Originally Posted by lookingglass

Well, I came home yesterday to find Pushy licking his lips and looking very pleased with himself. He'd just chewed through the new bag of c/d, but had ignored his brother's bag of Medical high fibre kibble. Guess it's like going for the Frosted Flakes instead of the All Bran!Originally Posted by PurrPaws
Prego will also chew through bags. Can they smell through the bag or do they just know what their food bag looks like?
Um, these new bags were in the closet! My boys learned early how to open the closets.Originally Posted by katachtig
