Great! Give it a couple of days and we’ll take it from there.
Hey. Once again thanks for all the help. I had another question. I ask here because each site seems to have slightly differing answers... I guess because each cat is different I dunno. What would you say is the average minimum weight for a 4 week old and 5 week old kitten? It is looking like it is going to be close. I’m not sure yet if she will grow 1.75 ounces minimum in one week or not, but if she doesn’t that seems awfully low to me.Great! Give it a couple of days and we’ll take it from there.
I think you should stick with four-hour feedings for now since she is gaining slowly. I think you have to go with how the kitten is doing as opposed to following guidelines. For now it seems she needs to continue eating more frequently.
I was planning on doing it when she is around 4 or 5 months old. That is how I did the previous kitten I raised a year ago (she’s doing well too). I figured I would give her plenty of time to grow but not wait so long that she goes into heat.Aww, thanks so much for the update. I love a happy ending. So good to hear that she’s thriving, and that is thanks to your very excellent care. It is too easy to get attached! Watch out or you’ll end up with 9 cats like me! I love them all!
What’s your plan for getting this beauty spayed?
