Hey everyone. I posted a few weeks ago about Audrey's sudden increase in appetite. At this point she's up to nearly 10 oz of Wellness a day (she's about 11 pounds, and very active for an indoor cat) from about 6oz a day when we were still transitioning her (she would eat endless dry food, it seemed, but left behind most of the wet).
I ended up calling the vet about her increase in appetite, but was told not to worry. I can't quite shake it, though, since Audrey seems to be getting plenty of food, but still begs for more whenever we go into the kitchen. Maybe she's just greedy, but it's still weird.
Added to that, I just noticed that her belly is very taut. I've never had a cat before, so I don't know if this is normal or not. It's not hard (it will give with a bit of pressure), but it's definitely not soft or pliable.
Lastly, she was spayed about a month ago with no complications, but I just found a small, hard lump right to the side of where the incision was. It doesn't feel warm or swollen, and doesn't cause her any pain when I press it. I can't tell if it's just where the muscle is still knitting back together, or if it's something more.
Aside from these issues, she's fine. Same activity level, no personality changes, using her litterbox regularly.
So what do you think? Am I being paranoid, or is it worth calling the vet back again and being more insistent?
