Alternative To Newspaper Litter.

So my cat recently had to have surgery and long story short for the next month and past 2 weeks he has to use exclusively paper based litter, apparently this is common among post surgical cats. He absolutely despised all of thr newspaper pellets and peed on blankets about 20% of the time in protest, box was scooped for poop and was never dirty and was completely replaced every 3 days so beong dirty was not the cause. The answer is small animal bedding, honestly it's atrocious for tracking but it's absorbent paper based he can dig in it better and uses it consistently all around a winner so if anyone else has a fickle cat I highly recommemd small animal bedding as an alternative.
