So, Holland and I had kind of a rough night on Thursday...
I was away for almost 12 hours between work and an after work commitment, then I had to do some homework when I got home, so I had very little time to play with her. On top of all that, I just got a new laptop that she is not allowed to be on, and she kept trying to "sneak" onto the keyboard. If I tried to gently push her away she would NOT budge (that girl is stubborn!!) and if I tried to pick her up she would swat at me. I know she just wanted attention, but I was tired and had to get some work done...
Then she woke me up REALLY early on Friday morning (we're talking 3am) by jumping right onto my stomach. She does this pretty often and it normally doesn't bother me. I pet her until I fall asleep again, but at the time she woke me up I was tired, grouchy, and MAD! I tried to ignore her, but when she wants to be petted she headbutts my hand until I give in. She woke me up just before 5am wanting to be fed, I had to be up at 6:30, but I decided to get up and feed her instead of ignore just so I could have some peace. Let's just say while I was up getting her food ready I was speaking pretty harshly to her.
ANYWAY, it's so nice to know that they can forgive us.... This was last night, I had my fleece blanket on my lap and she came and cuddled up next to my leg so I covered her up and she was in deep sleep before I knew it. I can always tell when she's sleeping hard because she gets real twitchy, her mouth opens and closes like she's trying to sleep talk, and sometimes she will even snore.
And here she is tonight, playing Queen of the (fleece) Hill:
