Hello

I have a male cat who is 15 years old. He's in good health for the most part given his age and he's an indoor cat. I've been feeding him Fancy Feast for a few years now since he has lost some of his teeth. However, for a couple of weeks now, he's been having itching problems under his chin and behind both ears. I've checked his ears, no ear mites and no lesions on his fur and no evidence of fleas. Could it be dry skin ? I know I have a neighborhood cat that's been showing up at my back door so I don't know if this is what's causing his itchiness (nerves) or not. I've read Vitamin E oil could be used. Thoughts ??? Thanks for your time !

I don't know where you live, but since Spring started here both my cats have had drier skin and are scratching more. So it could be a change in season thing for your cat too. Are there white flakes like dandruff?

Hi there

I live in California.  No, I am not seeing anything flaky on his skin.  Although his skin does seem kind of dry.
