I have two newly adopted babies

Cola

And crush

Cola is an extremely small kitten, being the runt of the litter.

She is 7 weeks old and she weighs 200 grams.

Crush on the other hand is 8 weeks old and is almost a pound! He's a big little guy.

Unfortunately, crush is very violent towards cola and often hisses and swats at her whenever she comes close to him.

I've had to separate them into different rooms of the house which breaks my heart because I love them both.

I want to learn how to hopefully curb crushes aggression towards cola...

Thanks!

Oh dear. As their ages are different, they must come from separate litters. They seem to have been taken from their respective mothers a bit too early. All they have now to learn cat manners is each other. And you have separated them.

Hissing and swatting is part and parcel of cats establishing their personal space. So if the interloper responds appropriately and backs off, I don't think there is too much need to separate them.

I figured as much. When I took them to the vet, I was told that crush is normal and healthy. Cola was taken too early (which I do regret)

I separated them due to colas size. She's also pretty slow and crush will knock her over and start biting her. I'm just scared that he may actually hurt or even kill her

OK, so it is a mismatch, which possibly should not be allowed to continue. If you keep them together and Crush does not kill Cola, the imbalance is going to mean that Cola is likely to come out of this damaged. If you keep them apart Cola is not going to socialise properly.

This needs some input from wiser heads, but I am thinking along the lines of putting Cola with some kittens who are a week or 2 younger than she is - although you could risk Cola becoming the crush of that situation. You may need to find a loving home for Crush in order to get the space you require for Cola.

I suggest  you watch some videos on kitten playing so you can determine correctly if it is play or aggression. In a week or two they should be an ok size match.
