I've gotten used to seeing pre-teens, dressed like streetwalkers (don't like it but, I'm used to it) but, these styles are filtering down to the pre-SCHOOL sizes.
A store, near my house, has toddler-sized clothes, that would make a hooker blush: skimpy tops with inappropriate sayings, rhinestone and sequin-studded t-shirts and short-shorts - all in sizes 2-6. Whatever happened to jeans, cartoon-character t-shirts and cute little dresses?
Today, I was shopping for shoes, for the twins' second birthday and had a heck of a time, finding some that did not have 1-2 inch heels. HEELS, for toddlers! WHAT are the designers, manufacturers and parents thinking? At two years old, I was wearing sneakers or patent-leather Mary Janes, with flat soles.
Whatever happened to kids, dressing like kids, rather than miniature tarts? Thank goodness, my granddaughters have parents and grandparents, with good sense and taste.
