Wait at least 6-8 weeks, until the kittens are weaning well. They continue to nurse, but milk production does slow down in some cats.
That's good news, thanks for sharing! And yay kittens!Hi , this was happening to my cat over a period of 4-5 days , I was concerned to and posted on here yesterday . And she's currently in labour so far having 3 kittens . Hope that helps
Nope. She's a rescued stray and was pregnant when I got her, i had another thread here where we speculated some but really it's just all guesswork. It looks and sounds normal to me. Do you know when your cat is due?
Big difference between babies and kittens. If you're not maternal then you're not maternal. It's not a crime but kittens are a completely different story. They grow up so quickly and are such fun. You can't compare. Enjoy the kitty's babies. Does she have a name? ,Ah, Braxton hicks! So strange that the process is so similar to a human pregnancy, but I guess it's all basically the same idea, lol.
It's a bit ironic that she ended up with me of all people - I have no kids of my own and never intend to, never been around babies and generally avoid holding them or interacting with them, I'm just not a baby/birth person. The whole system just kinda grosses me out! (And before you assume I'm a teenager, I'm actually in my 30's - just didn't get the mama gene I guess!)
Anyway, life has a sense of humor I guess. Yuck! Good thing she's so cute.
Oh she's beautiful. Does she use the litter box? ,
I think I figured out how to post some photos! The one above is her being adorable a few days after she first joined us.
That one is her yesterday letting it all hang out
That must have been funGot here late, and the best advice is given. I'm just hanging around waiting on kittens. Bless you for taking her in. Remind me, when it's all over with, to tell you about the cat I had who insisted on kittening on my lap.
What a beautiful kitty! It's a waiting game here too. My girl is 62 days today.
