Our little blue girl is home
She's very afraid, I let her out in the bedroom with the door shut and she's under the bed... just like Mika, spent his first night balled up beside the Select Comfort air pump.
I didn't want to bother her too much, so I just took this one of her with the zoom:
And then Mika was catterwalling outside the door, so I thought he must want to use his potty... which is in the bedroom so we need to figure out something else & quick. I let him in, and it didn't take him long to figure out there was a stranger under the bed:
They stared at each other for a short bit, batted at each other a time or two, and I figured that'd better be it for today so I pulled Mooey out and closed the door to let her be for a bit.
She's so pretty, dainty, and her meow isn't like a Siamese, not like Mika at all... very "normal cat"-ish
She only took a few minutes to come-a-sniffin' me while at the breeders, so I'm certain she'll be a lovey doll as soon as she feels comfortable with the house. I walked out into the living room with her when I first took her out and she was scared to death of the vaulted ceiling!!! She was raised in a small apartment so it's quite a change!
Her breeder named her Holly Berry (she was born on Christmas), but we'll likely change that to something Native American (like Mika) or Alaskan... husband, oddly enough, is both and loves the names.
Yay! Although it's like reliving Mika's homecoming (which was as stressful on us as it was him, because we wanted him to be comfortable sooooo badly), we're happy to have her and can't wait until she's made herself part of the family too!
