I see! Thank you! That explains it. She's curious about water but won't drink it. Splashing, however....is a thing.

She also wouldn't eat dry food. It's too hard? Maybe. I noticed she has small teeth behind her incisors (premolars?) but it's not enough to crunch, even if the food is steeped in milk for a while. I think I'll wait until her teeth are ready to serve kibbles.

Yes, I have 2 cats who began playing in their water bowl for fun as kittens, and two years later still love to do so.

In our local cat cafe there's a huge maine coon cat who likes to dig his water bowl! Haha some cats are just like that <3
