I just adopted a 5 week old kitten. He's been drinking KMR mixed with canned kitten wet food and it's been working. I'm just wondering how much he should eat and how many times because he only weighs 15 oz and eats every 2 hours. I'm scared that he's overfeeding. Also, how long can I keep the bottle of KMR if he doesn't drink all of it ? I'm completely new at this since this is my first cat ever. He's also been using the litter box on his own as of today and it's non clumping litter. We tried to use the clumping litter but he would lick it. Should I try using the same one now that he's been using it on his own or try something else ?

Yes, use non clumping litter.
15 oz. isn't even a pound. That's awful little for a 5 week old kitten. Make sure he has free access to kitten kibble 24/7. He should get wet 2-3 times a day.
As for the KMR, it will keep in the fridge for 24 hours. Unless it's been heated, then you need to dump what he doesn't drink. If you find that he's wasting it, try making up less.
