My kitten just turned 5 months old. About 1 1/2 weeks ago she was consipated and my husband had to help her get the poop out of her butt by running it under warm water. Then she started walking slow and sitting down every couple of steps. Now she lost all control of her hind legs not able to use them just dragging herself with her front legs. From the time we brought Savannah home she did not seem to play much and walked sort of weird , She is unable to use the litter box and just urinates where is is laying. She is 1 of 7 in her litter and we also purchased her sister so she would have someone to play with and her sister is twice her size and very frisky. When we brought her home at 10 weeks old she had some type of virus where her eyes would water alot and sneezing the vet gave us antibiotics and said she had an upper respiratory infection. That seems to have cleared up but now the issue with her not able to walk with her hind legs dragging herself is very devesting to me. The vet said feels it a neurological issue and said that he could do xrays, mri etc. but feels it best to put her down. She does not seem to be in any pain, eats and drinks very well and purrs when you pet her. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. We love her so much and do not want to put her down and its no life for her not able to get around. She sits up in her bed and watch her sister playing which breaks my heart.
