I'm fostering 4 week old orphaned kittens. One of the kittens is laid back and doesn't mind our friendly dog at all and at times likes to follow the dog around. The other kitten hisses and swats at the dog.  Are these behaviors a good indicator of how they will behave as adults or can their personalities change with age? Remember they are only 4 weeks. Thanks!

Personality will change as the cat ages mainly due to what he/she will experience and learn. Right now your laid back kitten seems to be more trusting or feels safe with the dog (maybe it's mommy!)
than the sibling with sharper survival instincts.

That's what I was thinking too. That the little kitten following our dog is looking at her as mommy, I'm hoping it stays that way as this would be the personality type that would fit in with our family, and our dog likes him as well. :) The other little one is so precious but not going to be suited for a home with a dog. That little one is all cat lol!
