I bought a small cat of Merrick chicken pate and he liked it. I'll get more. A big can of special diet chicken pate, he did and didn't like. Mostly didn't. Thanks!
I'm online looking to find out about the black specks in Iams Gourmet Chicken Pate Kitten food, small can. The food is mostly very light color- and then there are these black specks throughout But far apart, you know? So it's not like PART of the food . I don't LIKE them. I mash up even pate...
Thanks, everyone!
I'll tell you what I get worried about when I think of food processors etc, and that is that there will be a lot of food that will get stuck to the sides, the bottom the blades and whatever and lot of food will be lost—and since the cans are so small, and I can't do a lot at...
I have not tried Merrick food! Dont' forget, so far it HAS to be Smoooth (no chunks, even if soft) and JUST chicken—no turkey, liver, etc. But chicken comes in different styles by different makers, so I try different makers.
It's good to hear there are other cats with the same preference as mine. Strange that a cat, who would be tearing up a little animal and gobbling it down if they caught it in the wild would not each lumps and chunks! Don't you think? I have to mash up the pate with the back of the spoon and make...
I avoid "looking" most of the time, but today he pointed it right at me (standing on the bed) and I saw what I usually used to see, when I looked, which was just a plain anus that has little brown/black marks on it—little spots and lines. (No lumps.) Why doesn't he lick them off? He is...
Ive been struggling to find a cat food that my cat will eat a decent amount of without leaving 1/3 of it in the dish. First of all, he'll only eat chicken. Second of all, he'll only eat patee. Third of all, he rejects almost every single cat food I give him even if it is chicken and patee. I...
What do they say is wrong with Carageenan? I used to use it when marbling paper, and it's in ice cream. I thought it was just a thickener, makes food a nice smooth texture. I'm behind the times. From what I know of Carageenan, I wouldn't think it's harmful. Kind of like gelatin in texture. I...
I adore The Word's Best Cat Litter (even though it's a dumb name.) It doesn't smell, whether it's the scented or the non. I love the lavender scented and the 3 cats I've had have use it with no problem. It does smell when there there are feces in it, It disguises the smell of them a little but...

Dear people-who-know-more-about-cats-than-me,
I have a kitten that is about 5 months old, a dark tortie, and she is SO SWEET!! She is a rescue. I want her to be as healthy as possible so I have a big bowl of kitten-kibble down for her all the time plus she gets 2 meals of...
Hi,
Well, as far as carpet beetles causing cat itching problems etc, and no answers to this question, I'm on an online mission to try to find out why my fairly new, to me, cat keeps have ear problems. I couldn't make it to he vet appointment I had (have to get a bigger cat carrier, which I...
I am on my second bottle of Feliway as used in the diffuser. The first one was the box that has the diffuser and the bottle of the liquid. After I had been using it for awhile, I noticed that I really LIKED the smell of it. I don't know what it is—it does smell sort of like "burning something,"...
Thank you for taking the time to share all that! Isn't hard to solve the mysteries of cats! We need all the evidence we can get to compare our own situations to. My new shelter cat, 3 years old, supposedly was a one family cat and they had to give him up. He does view biting as a way to deal...
Hi,
Thank you very much for your message! Jesse and I are working things out, too, trying this way of doing things or that way of doing things. This morning I felt that we have made good progress. He had been trying to get me to "play" when I had been trying to nap late morning. He would do...
Kutubira - Thanks so much for your reply! So glad you learned more things and found better ways! My cat does the soft biting, too. He learned not to bite hard by my reactions. Soft biting gets reactions, too. As far as "guilt" and cats is concerned, I think about this. Try considering that...
