The calming liquid actually seems like a great idea! I'm going to go look for it at petco. Your setup with the screen door looks very similar to my setup when I was introducing them. i had them on separate sides of a screen door for each re-introduction and they always seem to eat just fine...
Alright so I've made several posts about this before and you guys have given great suggestions that I"ve tried and its helped somewhat. So here's the rundown
Original cat: tiny tuxedo girl, 1 year old
New cat: big tuxedo guy, 2 years old
After no less than 3 separate introduction/feliway/etc...
Yep, I tried reading that guide, I'm just kind of wondering which stage I'm really at...it seems like i'm back to square 0? I'm currently trying to babygate thing but my resident kitten just hops over it when i'm not looking so its not really working out too well. I tried stacking two on top of...
edit: I do have 2 literboxes, feeding bowls, etc. I try to distract my kitten with toys when they're together but she's not interested in anything but chasing down the older cat.
Also, its just weird because sometimes she will seem playful with the older cat and sometimes she is all nips and...
So I've had a bored kitten for almost a year now (she's about 10-11 months old), and since she's been so bored and energetic and I felt like she was bored when I go to work (and sometimes when I bring that work home), I got her a buddy, a 2 year old playful seeming boy tuxedo cat.
I followed...
My cat has a small wound from her recent spay. I thought she had bitten out her stitiches, but her stitches are fine, the vet just recommended hot compresses for 5 minutes every day. The problem is, my cat won't stay still for something like that! How can I get her to stay still for me to put...
Wow! Ok great, thats what I was looking for, some input on the single people with mutiple cats. I am financially stable to take care of 2 cats, so thats fine. I was just afraid of what would happen if I ended up with two needy cats. Fostering sounds like a great idea, i'll ask my local shelter...
yep! although I think that might be helping the problem? I used to pick her up all the time when she mewed in the past (not as much), but now she does it constantly, and I think I might be setting a bad precedence? Not sure on this. Also sometimes when she meows and I pick her up she wriggles...
I feel weird posting on here because in all other areas, she is perfect, my new 6 month kitten doesn't use the bathroom anywhere but the litterbox, she eats without complaint, she doesn't spray etc. This is my first cat however, so I'm not sure what to do. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have...
