    Goodnight my sweet girl

Sorry to say that I lost my darling Poppy aged 13 years 8 months 11 days ago. She had starting leaving little spots of urine where she was lying but no blood through it. Thought it was an infection but when she was examined a tumour was found in her uterus which had spread to her bladder and I...

    Worried about my little girl

Sounds to me like a bad reaction to the flea treatment itself or she's still got the fleas because the stuff you have used hasn't been effective enough. Can you check her for fleas again and if she's clear then the treatment you've given her hasn't agreed with her. Sounds to me though as if she...

spayed cat in pain not eating or drinking

How is she doing now, any improvement? Your vet doesn't sound a very good vet!

help! i have a cat with severe megacolon

Miralax worked wonders for my cat Poppy. She couldn't go at all and ended up having to have enemas under anaesthetic. Tried Lactulose which did work but was very messy. Miralax just gets mixed into their wet food and is tasteless and odourless. They don't know they're getting it so I would...

Need help with saving my elderly cat. WARNING - Graphic image

While I fully applaud you caring enough about your cat to come on here maybe you could tell your parents this. In the UK, it's actually a criminal offence to let an animal suffer and deny them veterinary care. I don't have much money but if my dog and cats need help if they are ill or in pain...

Little Boy Just Got Bitten By A Dog.

Lol, it took a moment or two for it to click that you were actually talking about your cat :)

Little Boy Just Got Bitten By A Dog.

When I saw your topic title, I was getting ready to post that this was a cat forum and had nothing to do with a little boy getting bitten by a dog. The penny dropped eventually lol!:D

At home euthanasia vs. vet's office

We had the vet come to our house to put our 13 year old darling Sophie to sleep in 2002. The vet administered the first injection but her heart was still beating and the vet then had to inject into her heart. She was actually brain dead after the first one but the vet didn't want to take any...

    cat's drowning in drainage

What a lovely post and thanks for coming back on to let us know what's been happening. You obviously care an awful lot about Patch and I hope he returns maybe one last time and that he's not already passed. If that was one of mine, the not knowing would kill me. You've done everything you can...

    Thinner?

Can I ask where you bought Oh No Hairball? Is it available in the UK? My cat is an absolute nightmare to get tablets into and this sounds perfect! Hope you fur baby continues to improve and puts on weight!:vibes:

    Thinner?

Have you had him checked for hyperthyroidism? Yes, it's normal for cats to lose a wee bit of weight but if you can feel his spine then that to me sounds as if it's not quite normal. My 14 year old cat Holly died from hyperthyroidism 3 years ago. She had lost a lot of weight and by the time it...

    I feel so guilty

How is she this morning? Did you have a good night with her overnight?

    I feel so guilty

Aw, bless her! I bet she will feel a whole lot better tomorrow and hope she enjoys her fish. Don't give her too much at once though or she will just bring it straight back up. She is gorgeous and once again, it's lovely to see how much you care x:D

    I feel so guilty

Fantastic news and she will now go from strength to strength! I call my cats my fur babies because that's exactly how I look at them! Keep us updated x

    I feel so guilty

That is brilliant news and I'm sure she will recover really quickly! Enjoy giving her lots of cuddles later on tonight and let us know how she is! Thinking of you both x

    I feel so guilty

I wish every cat owner was like you so stop beating yourself up! You've made a mistake, you didn't deliberately set out for your fur baby to get hurt and you are only human. I've made mistakes in the past, we all have. You are obviously a very caring, responsible owner so stop the guilt and stop...

    Declawing my cat

The question of de-clawing in this country wouldn't even arise as it's totally illegal. No vet here will perform such a procedure which should tell you somethingI also think it's extremely cruel. A cat has those sharp claws for a reason and that's defence in a fight. I'm sorry but I don't agree...

Cats leg broken at the vet!!

Good luck, I will be thinking about you! I agree, there's something not right about your vet diagnosing something without tests! Well done in going for a second opinion!

Cats leg broken at the vet!!

I think you've had a 100% definite answer here. Please don't have your fur baby put to sleep until you get a second opinion. Saying a cat has bone cancer without even doing tests is irresponsible in my opinion! Let us know how you get on x
