Mmm thank you so much EB24! I will definitely try again, slower this time :) I need to buy a new clicker, mine's stuck. Do you have any suggestions?
Also, I keep forgetting to mention, your kitty is too cute! Girl or boy? Name?
Yes, since it's only been two days I'd wait a little before contacting the owner or thinking of giving her up. She's an adorable kitty and I'm sure that she will be warm and friendly as soon as she gets a little more comfortable. It's difficult for cats to move into a new environment, leave...
Little Grey usually starts off the night sleeping right next to me (he likes to wiggle his head up onto my pillow and everything!) and then will migrate towards the side of my hips, sometimes onto his own pillow that's right near my head, other times he will lay down at my feet. I also have my...
I have this one and I like it! I'm big into pine litter and if you have a free sample I'd definitely try it. In my experience, the litter clumped well and had good odor control.
I am a longtime pine litter user and most of the types of pine litter aren't those pellets, they're loose, free form litter. Yes, they work with the scoop. If you can, I'd definitely buy the clumping kind. Even though it does turn to a sandpaper type consistency, as long as you're not using a...
Hi everyone!
So one of my cats really loves chilling out by the windowsill. This would be okay except that he gets really close to the edge and sometimes gets on his back legs and tries kind of scaling it. He leans on the screen netting behind the window, and it makes me really nervous. I've...
My kitty does the same thing! (except we don't let him downstairs because I'm terrified of him darting out the door). Since you probably don't want to have to sneak out of your house all the time, you might want to make a concession and make your kitty stay upstairs while you're out. If the...
I would definitely get her checked out by a vet. Often times when a cat presents by urinating or defecating outside of the litterbox, there's a health problem involved. Get her checked out!
This is a common misconception that cats aren't loyal. They can be just as, if not more, loyal than dogs! The difference is that dogs are more like children and cats are more like adults; children will love you no matter what you do, they just have blind adoration, adults on the other hand need...
Hi everyone! I'm new here, my name is Lauren
So as for litter, my brother is allergic to clay based litters so that's out. I'm looking for the best type of litter (best for my cat and for me) in terms of tracking litter out of the box, what will attract a cat to use this type of litter...
I have to agree about taking your kitty to the vet to make sure she's okay. Cats often present by urinating or defecating outside of the litter box when something is medically wrong . Knock on wood that nothing is, but until that's addressed you really can't start addressing the behavior problem.
Thank you so much for your helpful posts! I'm new around here and I wasn't sure if I was rude or something in the way I presented this problem. I guess I should've included more background information of what I've tried, but basically I've tried all of the normal things you can do with a cat to...
I've switched him to some really expensive brands (the can is $2.49 each and no discount for buying a tray ) and after he got used to one, his mess still really stinks It's gotten to the point where I can't breathe in the same room as the one he's done his mess in, and if I am, even if I'm...
While I know nothing about bobcat/feral cat breeding, I have to say you make a really convincing case. I would definitely get her tested and find out, just to assuage your curiosity at least
Yea I've tried that and he will literally just lose interest and won't care about the treat (that usually makes him go nuts with excitement) when he realizes that I'm making it complicated to get.
Absolutely no. When I adopted my first cat I had that same suspicious, however upon adopting my second cat it's really true that every cat has a different personality. I could not have adopted 2 more different animals!
Greyson is slower, calmer, quieter and obsessed with food! The other, LG...
So I've read some posts on training kitties, but mine doesn't seem to follow any of these methods . Does anyone know any other training tips for stubborn cats?
