Having spoken to a Manager/Cashier at a local Pet Valu store a lot, she would go on rants to me about how bad "Hills Science diet...." was, and she thought that they were a bad brand for cats. After that, we stopped buying Hills and saved $20/bag switching to Purina dry food instead. Our cat...
When we first took (Frisky or Lulu...just tried coco,no response),to the vet they estimated her age at 2 years old.The shelter said she was 1.That was about 4 years ago, give or take,so she is close to 6,but its all a guessing game. She was in a shelter with other cats, and she came up to me,and...
Her pic is my avatar.
We never knew her name. She doesn,t respond to any name we try to use repeatedly. The shelter didn,t know her name.
We have tried "Frisky",and "Lulu"
There is a history for Lulu, but we dont know that much about it.
Mine used to chew cardboard, and swallow, then one day I watched it poop in its litter box,and noticed blood in its stool,so I tried yelling at it the next time ,or standing up,and walking fast towards it,for it to stop, and eventually it did.I would yell no,or stop, but getting up fast, and walking...
Hi.
We took home a small black female cat from a shelter a while back.
Its a lap cat,and I usually prefer cats who just enjoy being petted, but I,m wondering if there is a way to train this type of cat,as it is very willful, and the shelter could never tell us its real name.
It started eating...
To me ,it sounds like she could be in heat.We used to have a small orange/brownish female cat who was not fixed, and she could growl, and make noise. If it is that then its a relatively inexpensive fix.Otherwise my best guess is it,s digestion related.Has she taken to the coconut oil well at all...
Can you recommend something with fiber in it?
She has always been happy with Hills Optimal Care ages 1-6.
On the label it says crude fiber-max 3.5%
I dont know if thats a lot or too little.\?
She adores the cardboard post.Problem is when she uses it ,the cardboard comes off,so i have to...
Yeah thats about right.
There were several good looking bowel movements.
Frisky has a scratch post made of cardboard, and sometimes she eats the cardboard, and today there was a very small amount of blood in her otherwise good looking stool.I dont know if eating small pieces of cardboard can...
Meow TY.
Yes i meant to say scooping it on avg 5x/day
Its always being checked now to see if anything is in there, and if so,then it will be emptied right away,to keep the litter fresh as can be.
We use a scented clumping litter.
The only other human food which is safe for her is jam,and coco...
The pumpkin i refer to is sold at most any pet food store, and comes in a can.You refrigerate after opening, and use 2 tbspns with her food that she is eating now.I,m not sure about a pumpkin itself, but for sure give it a try.
The pumpkin sold at stores is very cheap, and comes in a good sized can.
Pumpkin has always worked for my cat .you can try mixing it with the food.
Coconut oil in small amounts is good.If the cat licks it off your fingers its a good thing i think.
Not sure if i should have started a new thread.
Anyway,we are very happy to report that Frisky has not had any blood in her stools for the last 3 days.I wish i had thought to send pics when they first occurred. The last 3 poops have had zero blood, and her mood is better.
I think it might have...
