Do you clip your cat's claws??

Personally I don't believe in clipping claws on any outdoor cat and indoor cats should be given plenty of surfaces to sharpen on, then they don't tend to destroy furniture . We are very lucky though, living at end of dead end street our cats can be out whenever they want to (most of the time...

    Revolution...Does it burn?

Kat-Kat has same allergy to all liquid treatments. He has to go to vet for steroid shots every so often, I get a tablet to cut into quarters then crush to put in his food. So far it's the only thing that works and doesn't cause him problems (but it does cost $45.00 for the pill)

    New addition?

It's been a couple of years now, Pauli and Kat-Kat still best friends. They still play, but not as crazy as few years ago, usually wrestling starts around dusk for a couple of minutes then they are just grooming each other

Cat is terrified of riding in the car

I'm lucky that vet is only about a mile away. Kat-Kat cry's pitifully on the way there but is quite happy to watch where we are coming back This time,he didn't even care to get out of the car when he knew we were home, I had to lift him out as he seemed quite happy. There was no way I could...

6 month old cat biting me, not sure if it's playful or aggressive. How do I make him stop?

I doubt it's really aggression, ours are 3~5 yrs old and sometimes just 'play rough' Kat-Kat will roll over then do the full kick, scratch, bite thing, he's 'drawn blood' several times but it's OK as he's only playing. I 'know' it's going to happen and could just leave him alone but he's so...

Average lifespan of indoor female cat that's spayed?

In Britain, as long as they got through the first year without mishaps our indoor/outdoor cats usually made it around 15~17 years, the queens definitely lived longer than the males (who would often be fighting)  I've only had cats 3~4yrs so far in USA. Kat-Kat has several allergies so takes a...

Is fancy feast truly horrible for cats?

My spoilt little buggers won't eat any of the pate varieties, they will go hungry rather than touch it. Kat-Kat (aka Flash) specifically wants Ocean Whitefish with Tuna for 'breakfast' and beef in gravy shreds around 'tea time'  - plus, small can of Publix cat food. around midnight Pauli isn't...

    Best and worst cat treats

Almost two years on, Kat-Kat is now somewhat 'naughty' until he's had his Beachside Crunch party mix. He will sit in the 'middle' of TV screen just to let everyone know he's waiting. If that doesn't work, he pushes any DVD's off the shelf. He's also started sitting by the rerfrigerator when he...

    Flea Treatment Recommendations, NO liquids

Kat-Kat can only take pills for flea treatment, he totally freaks out at any of the liquid treatments (vet says it's because of his allergies)  Is there anything non-prescription that works and lasts for a month?  Prescription meds end up costing between $40.00 and $70.00, sometimes a lot ...

    New addition?

First pic is Kat-Kat, he's been out all night then playing with Pauli. He was real hot and pretty tired, laying on the tiles because they are cooler. I got him some food and he didn't even get up Sadie was looking so cute I had to get a picture. She's sleeping onmy wifes laptop, almost looks...
