My special kitty is Riley. He developed asthma as a direct result of a heartworm infection when he was two. He gets his steroid inhaler every day, with albuterol for "rescue inhaler" when he is having an asthma attack.
My other special needs kitty is Xander. He needs CONSTANT ATTENTION...
We were supposed to get 4" today but instead just got 1". However, to make up for it we got a nice layer of sleet and freezing rain on top of it. This is on top the 3" that didn't all melt from Sunday. Oh and there's more coming Thursday, Friday, then Saturday night. Glad I stocked up! :D
I explained to Riley that he was going on a diet since he has reached 17 pounds and that is just too much for his frame. Then I had to explain to Xander that he would have to go on a diet too since they eat together, lol.
They were not happy.
Wasn't able to sign up this year :(
Have had a lot of fun doing it the past five years but finances (lack of!) just won't allow it this time. Will be watching all of you tormenting eachother though!
Poor kitty :(
It may be that he is allergic to the chicken and turkey and would do better on a limited ingredient food without those proteins. It could be anything in his food though if its an allergy.
I definitely agree to take him to another vet ASAP since he can do downhill very quickly...
When I was a child we had a cat who was killed like that. My mom didn't know he was in there and this was an old noisy dryer so nobody heard anything. I was about 7 years old and it was my brother and I who found him :(
I have always been super paranoid and check and double check any...
Sorry you are having so many problems :(
You have gotten some great advice though. You might ask about having x-rays of her paws to see if there is some arthritis from the declaw causing her problems.
I really hope this new vet can help you find a solution.
