My friend's cat had this- and also outgrew it- the bones are soft when you so the vet says and pliable- I would wait- if you can grab her from those big jumps- I'd do it- not so easy with a kitten but might help - I would't go near a vet who suggest surgery for this on such a young kitten
Thank you all- I need it-
should know more tomorrow and will keep it updated- so anyone with experience or suggestions can chime in
again- you are all great-
this is twisting me like nothing ever has
I can't be a bad mom
just not right
I very much appreciate all the help - I have to save my cat- so hard to know what to do when you don't have endless money to experiment- board while it takes effect- but I have to do - you are all great- thank you from my heart and the hopeful heart of my Lulu
Ellenature,
Thank you - which online pharmacy? There are so many - I can't tell which ones are good and which are not-
I have read here that the ear gel is not that effective- have you used it before? How long did it need to take effect when you started? Thanks so much
Dannie
I've had my three girls- this round since 2005 my old Pebbs who was 5 when I rescued her-
then Monster came in 2007 about a year old- she has serious issues- I just kept loving her and she calmed down-
then Lulu - 2009- tiny- terrified from a really grisly shelter-
she spent her first few...
Yes -Lulu is the one who loses it- it never stops- she is another place now but not much longer- I have to do something-
true the only thing is the Prozac or the Buspar- I know the difference in how they work-definitely don't want the Buspar- well- thank you - I will know more tomorrow...
I've done all that- and for years- none of it has worked- no rescues will help due to her fear of cats
and fosters are full - I keep calling and asking and have many who are helping- the Shelter is trying to help too
the vets know the difference between behavioral and not- from what I tell...
yes they are- and when its an unknown they really pump it-
I can get the Prozac from my doctor-
I will find out about the dose-
she needs to be somewhere else for two weeks until it kicks in
will see what I can work out with the vet
wish me luck
I need it
and thank you for all your...
No I am not unrealistic- glad 500 dollars is a lot for me- wish it wasn't-but it is due to many things hitting at once-
here they charge $70 for a visit- $2-300 for lab work- and then want x -rays and other neurological tests to see if there are other issues- and then after pumping everyone for...
There are sites online that sell it- many in fact- I just google Prozac for Cats and several came up - I can ask my doctor for it- but I would want the powder to put in her food- she won't take a pill no way- that alone would freak her out-
its funny- to get it from my vet is a fortune- to...
Yes I know the difference in how the basic meds work for humans anyway - figure its the same for cats- that is why I don't want to put her on Elavil or Buspar - but not sure about Prozac either- I do not have endless hundreds or thousands to play the vet game here- none of them give anyone a...
Two forms of the Prozac? Do you need to get it from the vet or can you just buy it other places? if so -where? Thanks- putting it in the food sounds best- less traumatic that way
thank you for your response- there are no pee or poop issues here- just a death fear from my one cat to the other and now to both of them - one is very docile too- so its the one cat- I don't want to drug her and sedate her- I want to adjust her fears-
I had tried a mild tranq years ago but it...
I have a large sweet wonderful cat that has developed a terror of one of my other cats who likes to play tough- not a bully - the third cat just bats her off and she goes- but my Lulu becomes terrified- outrageous yowling- and aggression- first just towards the one cat doing the tough play- but...
