So currently I'm edging my stray/feral cat off of friskies to Costco dry food. But I noticed a weird behavior where the cat will almost pick out the Friskies from the bowl. Both are supposed to have fish. Which this cat likes. I'm guessing Friskies got some cat version of MSG? Friskies...

Not really my cat. It's my feral cat so can't pin them down to grab super close ups. Besides lifting the tail I'm guessing there no way to guess the sex of the cat? I'm just guessing it's a gray(?) tabby which is domestic shorthair?
