Definitely not intruding! Welcome, welcome. So your cat is super itchy, I see. Shelter medicine sources are excellent for tips about feline disorders. Also Tufts University has a highly regarded vet program and so also online resources. Cornell does, too.

I know that Vivibebean on this thread experienced red areas on her cat that her vet told her were excoriations, or marks resulting from scratching.

I think people will be leery about suggesting possible diagnoses. Are you able to bring your cat to the vet? Are you thinking it might be ringworm? Or you just don’t know.
