Any issues with a cat trying to climb over the top? I really like the design here as well. I'll peruse Lowe's or Home Depot for shelving. My husband prefers that whatever I do is not permanently attached to the walls. And yes, we need to go through the barrier at night too!
Hello!
I need some advice and guidance. I posted earlier about Ruby. My semi-feral who adopted us back in January. She is still around and I finally have her to the point she is clearly our cat. Here's the problem I am having. I did introduce slowly (behind cages and screens) my other two...
I wanted to add another picture. I am so very proud of the progress I have made with Ruby! She comes in throughout the day and plays with the cat toys and sometimes sleeps. It is starting to get very hot here so she likes coming in to a cool house. I am trying to keep her in more and more...
I have a 9-year old male cat and he displays different behaviors with my husband then he does with me. With my husband, he is clingy, pines incessantly, and nearly trips him every time my husband takes a step. The cat is not like that with me. I told my husband to ignore the negative behavior...
Hi all! It's been a while since I posted about Ruby. Here is a recent pic of her in my living room (sort of). For new folks, the saga began back in January when it was very cold and snowy here and I kept seeing a black and white cat. Young-ish, less than 1 year old. Ear tipped so feral-ish...
OMG what great pics! Thank you for sharing those with me. They all look very happy and content :-) I love Ruby more than you could know. Her disposition is absolutely sweet (at least to me). She is now getting used to my husband's voice and doesn't run from him like she used to. I know she...
Thank you for this information. I am so glad to hear that your two friends are safe and comfortable with you now. Ruby will come in the front door, sit on the foyer, then decide she's had enough and go back outside. It's hard for me to leave our front door open because I have two other cats...
I wanted to send a few replies to those that answered my post. Thank you so much for the information. We did find out that she does not like to be in enclosed places and I think that has to do with escape routes. I tried opening the window to my office so she could come in and she wanted...
I am so overwhelmed with the stories here! I love all this compassion especially when it is so greatly needed right now. I know she will come around. When she looks at me from my lap, I feel so much love for her. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am so glad to hear that your two...
Thank you so much for the response. I really appreciate all the wonderful feedback provided here. Here's a pic of my little girl inside. When I look at this picture, I think she looks so calm. What's the deal? Then I have to remember that I don't know her experiences and what she has been...
I so appreciate the response. I would agree and believe that with time she will come around. I was reading some of the other similar posts and some have worked with a friend for a year or more so I feel rather fortunate. She is snuggling with me only after a month or less. I am nothing if...
OMG, I think I just wrote the same in my request for help on Ruby. They even look similar! Black and white and your porch is similar to mine as well  . I would love to get Ruby to the vet, but right now may not be a good time. I'm afraid she might run away. I too will be as patient as...
Ruby showed up in our backyard about 2-3 months ago. It was cold, snowy so I started feeding her. She has stayed around since, which I am 100% okay with. Over the last month, I changed her feeding location to our front porch. And, within the last 2-3 weeks, she sits on the bench with me and...
