Seeking moral support on intros and any advice on multiple resident cats

Just finished an encouraging session this morning. My resident female cat (Oona) briefly locked eyes with the new female, but broke off the eye contact herself and walked away with no hissing. Baby steps!

Seeking moral support on intros and any advice on multiple resident cats

Thank you for the response. I just started using a Feliway multicat diffuser yesterday that is about 10 ft from the door to the new cat’s basement. I appreciate the advice about going at the slowest cat’s pace. I think we will try that for a while and may reassess down the road.

Seeking moral support on intros and any advice on multiple resident cats

Context This Sunday I adopted a new female cat ~1 year old. I have two resident cats, one male and one female both around ~3 years old. The resident cats are not littermates, but we adopted them on the same day when they were both about 3-4 months old. Our resident cats have never lived with...

Thanks @cataholic07! I do feed some Rawz, but can’t get it locally (nor could I afford to feed it exclusively). I will look into trying the others.

Similar to Dr. Elseys clean protein canned?

For the last year, Dr Elsey's Clean Protein canned foods have been in heavy rotation with my two cats. Specifically the Turkey Pate and the Chicken Pate. It was never their favorite, but the both always ate it. Recently they have both started turning their nose up at it, requiring me to add a...

questions about Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein food

About half of the diet of my two 5-6 month olds is Dr Elsey’s wet. Like you, after lots of research I felt that it was some of the highest quality commercial wet food for the price (just can’t afford to feed Tiki cat everyday). I feed the chicken and turkey varieties. They also get about a Tbs...

    Kitten-specific Food Necessary?

Thank you all for your feedback! I am going with a combination of kitten-specific and all ages formulas. Are there any kitten-specific varieties you all particularly like? Looking for options that are high-protein, low-carb, no carrageenan, and little to no fruit or vegetable ingredients. Thanks!

    Kitten-specific Food Necessary?

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster! I have two darling kittens I adopted around a month ago. They are both around 4-5 months old. Before adopting them I read a lot about biologically appropriate diets for cats generally. I learned about them being obligate carnivores and wanted to...
