Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

It is a Lotus cat shelf from Refined Feline. It was a bit more pricy than I would normally buy but the quality is really good.

Hi all- I have trapped, brought inside and socialized 6 cats- so far! (Actually, 5 fully socialized so far with #6 in progress— early stages!) One came from a parking lot in AZ, one from a dumpster in VA, and the rest came to us themselves ( we live in a rural area). It has been a long...

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

Here's a picture of Caroline in her new home! This morning I went out to get the paper, and a huge owl flew over our yard at roof level - right over the spot Caroline had been staying. Thank goodness she's safely in the house! Not a minute too soon!

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

Thanks for the great ideas! Here's the latest update: We took the cat (her name is Caroline) to the vet yesterday and got her checked out completely, shots done, dewormer, etc. She's basically healthy, fortunately, although a little bit raggedy, very underweight and has worms/tapeworms...

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

Thanks- that is a great suggestion. I will see how the call with the owner goes and will make her an offer if there’s any problem. We will see how it all goes tomorrow— I will let you all know what happens!! Thanks so much! BTW, right now she is hiding under a blanket in her new ‘room’ — but...

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

Thanks for the great answer! We are hoping to keep her inside, so she'll be safe. It is definitely not safe for kitties outside around here. It's truly amazing she made it this far. We trapped her again and she's now in a room in our basement, safe and sound. I am going to take her to the...

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

Yes, they got her at a rescue organization in another town, so not close to here. We'e lived here for over 10 years, so I don't know how she could be familiar with this area. One thing, though - they said she was adopted with a brother, who later died... before she ran away. i don't know...

Mysterious (and sort of Heroic) Returning Cat

I have a cat behavior question for all the experts here: about 6 weeks ago, a semi-feral cat showed up in our yard. She stayed for a number of days, and finally, when a big snowstorm was on the way, we trapped her and brought her inside. When we took her to the vet, it turns out that she had...

Thanks so much for this excellent advice. Our new kitty has been inside for1 week now, and following these suggestions you would not believe the progress he has made! He now hears me coming and waits at the door. He loves pets and can't get enough. I have even been able to pick him up and...

    Advice Appreciated!!

Hi all - I have been working with a feral cat for the past 6 months. He showed up in our barn last October, and it's been a long process of getting him from hiding under a board in the back corner, to moving into the warm office part of the building, to getting him to eat regularly, use his...
