For anyone who treated their cats with Intrafungol for fungus or ringworm, what was your experience? This medicine is prescription only and is pretty expensive, I am curious to know the results.
Thank you, what throws me off is that the ringworm looks worse now after I have been shampooing them. Like it spread or something, and went for the face now. I do not see any improvement whatsoever.
Your cat sounds like one of mine. I have spent so much money on her blood tests, tried all kinds of select protein foods (wet and dry), raw food, and Z/D. Z/D also made her itch more after some time. After a very long trial, I have found that she is allergic to all protein, regardless the type...
I am fostering 11 six-weeks old kittens and their moms, and all of them turned out to have ringworm. But here is the kicker: I have took them to vet, bought a super expensive medicated shampoo with miconasol in it (Rx), and was prescribed to wash them all twice a week for 4 weeks without any...
I think the shot is given for convenience sake. My cat hated and foamed up when I gave her Metronidozole and with a shot everyone is happy. I haven't tried any pens for it, but would be the advantage of that vs shot? I did try different types of food, raw, etc but it did not go well.
So my kitty has always had a digestion /diarrhea issues and after all the bloodwork it was concluded to treat her for IBD. She also itches so it looks like some sort of allergy (vet hypoallergenic diet did not help with either IBD or itching). So far she had 2 shots of prednisolone, about 40...
So sounds like $70 is reasonable? Why is wet food so expensive though? I feed 2 humans with $300 per month, so that's almost third of that for a small cat :D
Hi everyone, so after many tests and trials it looks like my cat is doing much better on canned food only (dry immediately gives her diarrhea). I also add enzymes for her mixed with this food. I have tried to prepare my own food for her but honestly as a vegetarian who doesn't cook meat at home...
Thank you, I tried lean turkey today and she immediately had a liquid and very stinky diarrhea :( I think it is the entire poultry thing. She did not have this reaction to pork.
yes it looks like she is ok with pork, but I have read that even lean pork should not be the ongoing basis of protein but more of an an add on? How about organs and bones that can be used instead of poultry?
My cat has digestion issues and chicken allergy (raw, chicken organs and anything chicken in commercial foods). What can I put in her raw food? Seems that most raw food advocates use chicken or poultry and their organs as the main protein, but my cat itches like crazy after anything with chicken.
She is just under 2 years. It is crazy that it takes 2 years to treat something :/ I would like to treat it as otherwise it creates a lot of work that does not typically go hand in cat with owning a cat (volumes of smelly runny poop that ends up on the floors and furniture), plus she cannot...
I agree that symptoms match! Weird that vets did not recommend this and wanted to do the blood tests first. I am reading that it is difficult to treat, and my cat absolutely hates and foams after any medication. Oh man!!
I did all extensive blood tests and the vet said all looked pretty normal. Probiotics give her a diarrhea, unfortunately. I think only the diarrhea part looks palish because it did not had the chance to form and sit in the colon yet.
Hi everyone, ever since I have adopted my Ragdoll cat she had some mysterious digestion problem and her previous owner said that it is just a breed thing but I am not convinced. I have taken my cat to a vet numerous time, did blood tests, poop test, and all turns out fine. The vet put her on a...
