Hi guys, I recently took my 10 year old cat to a new vet due to vomiting and they said that after diagnosing him with heart murmur and arrhythmia as well as possible damage to kidneys from his previous history in his bloodwork, they wanted to run more tests on him. This would include bloodwork...
Update: Toby has been eating, still running around the house playfully, has no eye or nerve problems, and is generally a healthy boy (although he lost a pound). We took him to the vet and the vet said that's he probably a carrier or the diagnosis confirmed that he had just the coronavirus. This...
I'm so sorry for your loss and both you and your kitty's painful experience :( unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a cure for this terrible disease yet. Hopefully in the future, we'll be able to see a better examination for pets and cur many more diseases that causes a death sentence. For...
Thank you, as for the PDF, I really don't believe in that he has most of these symptoms. He hasn't ever had seizures and his stomach does not seem enlarged. He's the only kitty in the household but is generally a passive/anxious cat in nature. For lethargy however, I honestly don't have a clue...
No, he didn't tell us what form of FIP he had so I can only hope he doesn't have FIP :( If anything, and if possibly he did have FIP, I'd think it would be dry FIP because of the internal organs (kidney) that seems damaged. The vet told us to come back a week later to see his progress, and would...
Hello, so I have done more research about FIP and FCV, and although it says my boy has been tested positive for FCV at even 1:1600, the vet says he only suspects it to be FIP and still isn't sure because Toby (my cat) still seems relatively healthy. However, due to his elevated level of...
Hi there, I've posted about my cat's vomiting a few months and here I am again. Last week he began to vomit excessively everyday, so he was taken to the vet to have a blood test. I was given the diagnosis that he scored positive for both FCV at 1:400 and 1:1600. He was also given a high score...
So back when I made a post about Toby's vomit problem, I took him to the vet around December. When he was checked, nothing seemed abnormal and the doctor said he should be fine if he doesn't vomit an abnormal amount. However, yesterday Toby threw up twice. It was not hairballs, it had the...
Quick update: As a last resort we opened up the Fancy Feast we bought and gave it to him. Surprisingly, he ate it all! He's never done that with wet food before, I'm seriously happy right now. Don't know how good or bad Fancy Feast is, but at least I know he enjoys some type of wet food.
Thank you for your advice! We've decided to take Toby to the vet once November starts. I do know for a fact that even when my boy was a kitten, he's often dropped food from eating onto the floor. I'm assuming that he either has dental/physical problems, or he's just very picky. From what I've...
I've given him Friskies wet food that's been shredded, and he's only sipped the liquid part of it. I've bought one can of Fancy Feast for today, which he hasn't tried before.
Hello, I have a 5 year old named Toby that's been given dry food for most of the lifetime. Today, however, I bought him some wet food (Pure Balance) for a new change, as well as his previous dry food (Meowmix). For a try, I opened the can and allowed Toby to sniff the food, and he was following...
Thank you for the replies! I'll take him to vet as soon as I can, and inspecting closer it seems that the food is digested. He does not vomit for several times in a week. However, once he's in the process of vomiting he gets all puffed up and runs away. He returns back to his normal behavior...
I have a five year old cat named Toby, and I'm a bit concerned for him. He's been throwing up time to time, not daily but at least every once a week/month. His diet only consists of dry food, and it definitely does not look like hairballs. Should I take him to the vet?
