I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

One or our local brick and mortar retailers has online ordering. I asked RAWZ to please add them to their list of approved online retailers since they already sell RAWZ in store and via their online ordering. They said the would, but it doesn't seem like they've added them to the website yet...

    Salmon Oil Rec?

If your cat has a fish allergy, you need to look label to see if there is ANY protein in the supplement. If it says 99.9% fat, then you should be safe. The problem with oils that use smaller fish is that some of them use the entire fish and that protein content is going to trigger your cat's...

I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

This might be a special case. I had been communicating by email with the store owner as well as with the regional distribution who supplies RAWZ to them. The store owner ordered some as soon as the distributor had it available to order. It seems like most other store owners around here aren't...

I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

PS: Both the duck and the rabbit were both quite a bit more expensive than the other 4 varieties have been. Buying by the can, the average price for the old varieties was $2.20/can. These were each $2.99! There may be a discount when buying by the case and our local place has a program where...

I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

Thanks. I actually managed to get a can of the rabbit and the duck on Friday. I only got one of each to try. Isis (allergy cat) loved both. Aja wouldn't touch either. I'm getting some Nature's Logic salmon oil and will try adding it to the next cans. The only Rawz flavor Aja likes so far...

I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

Thanks for doing that! I have no idea why the fat content would be so high for rabbit. The only thing I might suggest is adding some fish oil or some sort of omega supplement to their diet since I don't see any info about that on the label and it isn't a pet food requirement.

I Got Some More Info From Rawz Re New Varieties

I've been corresponding with someone from Rawz who had let me know they have a new rabbit canned food available soon. I've been trying to move away from Nature's Variety products since they added peas and carrots to their Ultimate Protein Rabbit & also changed the type of fish oil used. My...

    Rawz.....thoughts?

@KarenKat Maybe I'll get a can of the beef and try it. Neither of them have every shown any interest in anything "beef" - human food or cat food. Now bacon, on the other hand ...

    Rawz.....thoughts?

The price for individual cans of Rawz over here is $2.19. There's a retailer in the area that now has online ordering. The per-can price for a case is $1.95. Just posting for anyone who likes the brand and wants to find a place to order it online. Family-owned operation. Nice people...

    Rawz.....thoughts?

@duckpond -- Still testing whether one of the cats is actually allergic to turkey or is just scratching due to lack of omegas in Rawz (they don't list any info regarding omegas on their packaging). She's not vomiting, so I'm optimistic that turkey might be an option. If it's the omega issue...

    Rawz.....thoughts?

I've tried the turkey and the chicken. One of my cats, Isis (the black one in avatar), is allergic to fish protein, but she does fine with fish oil if it only comes from fish fat. They won't touch beef. The non-allergic cat, Aja ("Asia"), won't touch the chicken, but they both love the turkey...
