I figure it is time to introduce myself and my kitties. My name is Brittany and I just turned 28. I have a 3 year old son and a husband of 8 years in April. We have 5 cats and just recently lost beloved JiJi. The cats names are Mia, Gracie, Simba, Nala, and Onyx. Which I'll upload pictures of...
:sniffle:JiJi had a neurological disorder and he was so very strong. Was the hardest decision I had to make. He was PTS yesterday. After 8 and a half days of syringe feeding and assisting him with everything including bathroom and bathing, he just couldn't get better. I wish things could have...
Unfortunately I have some very terrible news. JiJi went downhill fast last night. He was not dehydrated but his body was cold and he didn't want to lift his head much. I stayed up all night with him and got his body temperature up and he started to eat on his own. I took him with me to the vet...
Just got off the phone with the vet at paw prints. She will have the medicine I requested first thing in the morning, plus some steroids. She will be giving me prednisone and calavmox. Great news to hear. I may just stay with them since she sounded a lot more helpful this time. JiJi moved a lot...
Talked with vet office today, the vet that seen him is not in, so I said to have her call me asap in the morning. I told her the kinds of medicine I would like to be prescribed. She said she doesn't know what the vet will want to do. I said well these tests are too expensive and we are waistimg...
Thank you very much. It is truly heartbreaking to see an animal you love not doing well. I have hope for him and I try my best for him. He has never been like this and it breaks my heart that he is having so much trouble at only 7 months old.
Attaching pictures before he became he way he is now.
Yes paw prints is the vet he recently went to. Where I paid 170 bucks for not much information, just she thinks it's neurological and to be prepared to put him down. They should be able to give me the medicine since they are aware of his condition and that he doesn't have a lot of time to waste...
I'll be calling paw prints tomorrow and requesting the medicine you've told me about. These people just want a bunch of money to run a bunch of tests to get us no where! They need to give me some medicine I'll pay for it, what's it to them? Oh that's right not enough money going into their pockets.
Talk with vet today, they said the earliest I can get in is next Wednesday. That is to long to wait but I've already sent them his blood work. I may call the vet he recently was at and ask the vet that saw him if they could just please give me the medicine, it doesn't hurt to at least try...
Me too! I'm sick tommy stomach worrying for him. I've got 6 cats including him and 6 dogs, two goats, two ducks, three lizards, and one temporary chipmunk who was rescued from one of my not so wild cats, the poor thing had just one little scratch. If it was one of the other cats, it wouldn't...
My onyx a couple weeks ago when he got nuetered. He is such a laid back, sweet, funny boy and I love him to pieces. He tries to suck on my ears when I'm asleep or after he comes on from an adventure outside. He thinks I'm his real momma maybe?
Vet called back today, unfortunately we weren't home, I'll call first thing in the morning. They said they would be happy to run some tests and try some medicine, set up an appointment sometime this week.
Right now he is still only moving a couple feet a day, but his hydration is up, good pink...
Wasn't able to get in today. I called the vet I recently took him to and got the blood work faxed to the new vet I'll be seeing soon. I also got his weight from the appointment. He was 2.1 lbs and he is now 3 lbs so he has gained a pound since the appointment last week.
He is doing well today...
