Hi all,
I used to use Bravecto Topical for Cats, 12 Week Protection as that is what my vet prescribed. My cat, Pumpkin, did fine with it and had no reactions to it the few times I used it. I stopped because I keep forgetting to re-order it 🤦🏻♀️
Pumpkin is an indoor only cat but I worry I...
...thank you for replying.
Yeast infection is her main diagnosis now (vet found lots of yeast on her skin).
She was given Pyrantel and Bravecto 5 weeks ago, and tested FelV and FIV negative.
Why do you think that topical treatments are bad/not necessary?
I was actually thinking the opposite...
...flea infestation. We live in the south and have inside/outside dogs. They’re the ones bringing the fleas in but they’ve been treated with Bravecto, now we’re in the process of getting rid of the fleas in the house. What a long process! The vet seems to think that may have something to do with...
...to think this smell might have something to do with that ear. Hopefully I can get this cat to the vet for rabies, tapeworm treatment, Bravecto etc. next week. Will the Bravecto kill ear mites? I had another feral a couple of weeks ago and got a steroid shot for it's sinus issues and it...
...you should talk to your veterinarian about using it. If your vet recommended it, I guess that's the end of the conversation. But here -

i was given bravecto topical made for cats 6.2 lbs - 13.8 lbs when my cat was around 5 lbs. i applied it and a day or two after, i noticed she had a small wound and some hair loss either on or near the spot i put it. i was changing her diet from wet to dry food, too.
i asked the vet about it...
my cat weighs 6.28 kg would i be ok to give the bravecto for medium cats dose thats between 2.8-6.25 kg? The next dose for bravecto for large cats is 6.25-12.2kg, but i feel like the large dose is too much.
Also is revolution PLUS safe/good to use?
...exam if she is sedated or anesthetized.
Sorry, just spit balling here.
The flea treatments you use, they aren’t
Isoxazoline products like Bravecto, Credelio
Nextgard, Revolution Plus. It is rare but there have been cats that suffered neurological effects from them. Dogs too.
With the...
Yes, please let me know if the Bravecto works better. I know when Kira got the Comfortis it soothed her skin as well whereas the Credilio does get rid of the fleas but I don't think soothes the skin. I'm in Wiltshire by the way.
I just gave my cat Bravecto, which makes him resent me. We always make up, but I hate it and he hates it. My sister uses Revolution, but has the exact same problem. Is there anything new on the market for flea and tick protection that is less odious to the cat as well as making the owner feel...

I use Bravecto for my two, and get auto-delivery so I don’t have to remember to reorder (or I would always forget). I used it for Maddie as well as Daisy and Phoebe. No side effects, only problem is that Daisy hates getting it put on and fights against it, and between that, her fur being very...
Your cat has not had previous issues with any seizing, correct? Do you know for a fact that there isn't a cumulative effect, especially in cats with previous seizures? It is fine to let others know of your success but be wary of advising on matters that do not pertain to the cat in question if...
We had our youngest cat treated with Bravecto because he had lots of fleas and ticks. No problems at all.
We had the vet do the treatment and, because he was there for other things, he stayed overnight. By the time he came home, it had been almost a day since he was treated. If he could go...
As far as I know, Frontline Plus does not kill mites. Revolution and Advantage Multi kill mites, but not lice. I believe Bravecto doesn't work on either.
I personally felt that Frontline Plus was not as effective as Advantage II when I tried it - but I think that is more likely due to living...
