We are feeding my prone to constipation kitty RAWZ rabbit with pumpkin and giving her Visbiome Vet probiotic. It seems to be helping, but we've only been giving her a small amount of the probiotic because I don't want it to have an adverse reaction and we end up with diarrhea.
Visbiome Vet...
I’ll have to look into the probiotic & going to take note of the others for her just in case! Thank you so much for the recommendations
picked up wellness core digestive health wet food earlier and hoping she’ll do well with it
It's supposed to be refrigerated?😮 Frick! I've had it out last 5 days. That mean it's ruined?
And it's not as expensive as the Visbiome. That stuff cost me $67 for 40 capsules.
Just talked to my vet and she wants to start him on visbiome + another round of metronidazole.
She said he's never had a full gi panel so doesn't know about the B12, but since his thyroid and liver were both elevated, we can try that too.
B12 takes a while to show results, doesn't it? How...
Long standing intermittent diarrhea. On long term Proviable. A vet in the US suggested trying a higher end probiotic like VSL3. I believe Visbiome for pets is the same but I can’t find them in Canada.
...have changed. Took her to the vet and she was also a little constipated. We are feeding her RAWZ rabbit with pumpkin and I'm giving her Visbiome Vet probiotic. We give her a mix of the rabbit with pumpkin, duck, and chicken wet food. We also add a couple of teaspoons of water to her wet food...
My vet started my cat on this Visbiome & their website says it can sometimes bloat their bellies the first few days. Should I give him the full dose at once or are you supposed to introduce high powered probiotics slowly?
Thanks!
Thank you. In going to go with that.
He was alsoon Metronidazole too. 2weeks before he started this & she wanted him to remain on that while the Visbiome too. But he doesn't want to eat on that, so I had to discontinue it. At least for a little. Poor little guy.
Appeals Court Upholds False Advertising Verdict Against Sellers of VSL#3® Probiotic
This is as close as I can come to an explanation; it is my understanding that Visbiome is still sold in Canada, but not VSL3.
Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on switching from one probiotic to another. My kitty has been Proviable for years and I am thinking of switching to Visbiome. Not sure whether it's a good idea to switch suddenly or to wean off the one while weaning on the other.
I've already tried this super expensive probiotic called Visbiome. After trying S. Boulardi the previous year. I don't think that's going to do it. But I'll give it another week if you think it's worth a try. In just thinking this was his last try before the testing further.
But I...
Hi all! I've got a cat with runaway diarrhea again. He was doing so well for awhile. He has food-related IBD and once I took him off all poultry, fish, & gums (used in wet food), them started with puddle poop again.
At the same time, his hyperthyroidism was first starting to act up...
...it's hard to go shopping more than once a week. I get meats from the local small farms. I've tried gut soothe, slippery elm, love bugs, visbiome, nexabiotics, standard process enteric support. She was only on the visbiome/nexa plus SP for a long time. I quit the SP...no change.I guess it's...
Hi! How to get these down my cats gullet?
They are huge!!
I took the powder out and mixed with a treat but that didn't go so well!!
Wet food is hit or miss!
Need some help!
I have not and my own kitties are not on probiotics but as far as any studies regarding the use of probiotic supplements suggests that abruptly stopping does not cause any adverse effects and there's no reason to " wean off" except to determine adequate dosages I see no reason why switching...
